This Hike & Yoga Retreat will be guided in English and Finnish, according to the participants. Group size is small. Minimum 6, maximum 8 persons. Due to small group size everyone can profit to the max, and we’ll be able to attend to everyone’s personal needs.

In the quiet corner of the beautiful Heidi landscape we dive into the surroundings by experiencing diverse hikes during the days and calming ourselves and our bodies down with gentle yin yoga practice in the evenings. 

During the 5 days you get to experience stunning landscapes on guided hikes in the region as well as relaxing and soothing yoga sessions in the evenings. We will do two longer full day hikes and one half-day hike. You also get to experience what it’s like to be accompanied by charming trekking goats. With funny goats on your side, smile on everyone’s face is guaranteed :) Weather permitting, we do the yoga sessions outside in the nature, surrounding ourselves with the healing sounds of Mother Earth.

Our accommodation for the retreat is located up on the mountains, on the sunny plateau above Isenthal, at the altitude of 1540m above sea level. All double rooms in  cosy “Berggasthaus Gitschenen” are furnished with a new Relax natural sleeping system, to guarantee a good sleep for you. During the retreat you will be pampered daily with a delicious 4-course vegetarian dinner-menu,  a small, fine breakfast buffet and a takeaway snack lunch. Food is prepared with care and love – in order to delight everyone’s body and soul. Regional products are used wherever possible.  

For the yoga we do have a calm atmosphere in a very special yoga space, a small mountain Chapel. Weather permitting, we also do yoga practices outdoors. From Gitschenen we have beautiful views over the mountains, starry nightsky without any light pollution. And also, with bit of luck and patience a good chance to observe some wildlife.

As an extra treat during your stay you will get an insight on mountain bee keeper’s work, naturally with a degustation of yummee fresh mountain honey. 

We hope to meet you in the loving embrace of Mother Nature, during the lovely season of late summer when the days are still warm. Take time for yourself, come and breathe the fresh mountain air. Hike in the most beautiful mountain scenery, relax and recover with yoga, eat healthy and nutritious vegetarian food. For those who want to stay over the weekend and experience more, we offer a 2-day guided hike with overnight stay in a remote beautiful hut up on the mountains, with sauna and raclette under the starry night sky. Min. 3, max. 4 persons. First bee gets the honey so be quick! :) Price for the weekend tour is 395 CHF per person with full pension (transport costs and additional drinks are not included). No previous experience is needed for the hikes or for the yoga. For the hikes all you need is good hiking shoes, backpack and a bit of condition and happy attitude. Telescopic poles are sometimes helpful for hiking, so if you have a pair, take them with you. For the yoga practice you’ll need your own yoga mat and comfortable, warm clothes. Yin yoga is suitable for everyone due to its calm and allowing nature.

Prices and registration for the retreat:

Price: CHF 1015,- price per person sharing (double occupancy)
Single room supplement CHF 80,- per person

Included in the price: accommodation with full board (a delicious 4-course vegetarian dinner-menu, breakfast buffet and a takeaway snack lunch), retreat program with hikes, yoga and other activities mentioned above and in the program.

Not included in the price: flights and airport transfers to Gitschenen, transportation costs during the stay, alcoholic drinks, extra snacks or meals at the restaurants, any extra expenses and insurance.

Group size: minimum 6 participants, maximum 8 participants

You will confirm your place at the retreat by paying reservation fee of 100 CHF for Honigberg account while making your registration. Final payment should be made at the latest 60 days before arrival.

Cancellation details:

Up to 60 days before the retreat: Handling fee of CHF 50

60 – 31 days: 50% of the price
30 - 15 days: 70% of the price
14 - 0 days: 100% of the price

In case of cancelling the retreat due to Covid-19 situation, we will refund payments to the participants.

Instructors at the retreat are  Sanna Laurén and Liisa Laine. 

Sanna: a Finnish mountain leader with a Swiss Federal Diploma of higher Education. Sanna organizes hikes & trekkings with and without goats. She is the Founder of 

Liisa:  a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and positive psychology practitioner. On top of that she has completed several certifications for different methods of healing and non-urban first aid.
